Who we are

Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF) is Non-Governmental Organisation. We were founded in 1987 as a fellowship of Christian law students at Makerere University, Kampala and we have been operating in Uganda as a registered NGO since 2005.

We are over 300 members with established offices spread across the northern, western and central regions of Uganda. UCLF seeks to utilize the skills endowed in its members and associates to impact the most vulnerable in society, irrespective of age, gender, religion or ethnicity following a Biblical mandate to defend the rights of the poor and needy.

UCLF is a Civil Society Organization seeking justice for all in society through the provision of legal aid, legal education and research and policy advocacy on behalf of vulnerable people. UCLF was founded in 1987 by Christian law students at Makerere University. In 2005 was registered as an NGO.
