2 Timothy 3:16 ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness’
Christian growth starts when a person becomes diligent to the disciplines of prayer, fellowship and studying the word.
As a Christian you need have a personal bible. The copy of the bible should be in any version in a language you understand better, make a program to read your bible and honour that program.
The word of God for inspiration, some are inspired by movies or people. You need to receive inspiration from the written word of God.
The word of God will establish you in doctrine, it will correct you and instruct in the way of God. For the word of God is a lamp unto our feet as portrayed in Psalms 119: 105.
Christian maturity is measured by how much you study your bible and apply it to your daily life. You should be the walking bible; people should see you and see the fruit of God listed in Galatians 5:22-23.
However, you cannot become that without having a relationship with God through his word.
You cannot manifest the above fruit if you are not studing and accepting the word of God as it comes to you.
You should therefore decide to become a student of the bible and start eating the word of God, it will make you a better person.
