‘2Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ‘
Through Jesus Christ we became friends with God and not just friends but Children unto father God. John 1; 12 Says, ‘But as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.’ Through Christ Jesus we have the rights of sonship, we belong to the family of God. 1 John 3: 2 declares that now we are the sons of the God.
Christ reconciled the whole world unto God. Through the Adamic sin everyone in the world had been condemned and sentenced to death.
However, the word of God declares that Christ became the propitiation of our sins, and not ours only as the Church but also for the sins of the world (1 John 2: 2).
The Christian has a greater responsibility and ministry, that is the ministry of reconciliation. We have to bring those in the world, those who do not know God to the true and full knowledge of God. We can do this by sharing the word of God with them or sharing the love of God with them through our acts.
