Speak up for the Indigents.

Speak up for the Indigents.

Proverbs 31: 8-9 (NIV) ‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute, speak up and judge fairly: Defend the rights of the Poor and the needy.’

Greetings from the Secretariat,

Friends today we share with you about the need to rise up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. In this present age, world over there are several challenges that communities and societies face. As lawyers we cannot keep quiet about certain wrongs or the good in our society, since as Christian lawyers we have the moral duty of speaking for the voiceless.

However, when we speak, we ought to do so with love and impartiality. The motive of our communication should be to correct spiritually and legally but not to condemn or castigate.
Colossians 4:6 (KJV) is to the effect that ‘Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.’

As Christian lawyers we need to ask the Lord to enable us speak up but with love, grace and to speak independently.

Never hold your peace at a time when you are supposed to speak, because if you do then God will raise another person to speak for him and his people (Esther 4: 13-16).
