‘Enjoying the vital benefits of salvation’

The Christian has been qualified by faith in Christ Jesus to enjoy the vital benefits of salvation which includes, good health, eternal life, prosperity, forgiveness and deliverance from every evil power of darkness. These benefits form what could be referred to as the salvation package.

As children of God, everything that is good belongs to us as stated in ‘James 1:17 ‘Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.’ God is the author of good things, and since we are his best and first fruits, he gives us the best. This does not mean challenges will not come, they will come because we are in a fallen world, but surely in all things we emerge victors (1 Corinthians 15: 57).

The word of God reveals that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good, healing those that were possessed of the devil for God was with him (Acts 10: 38). You can see that the devil afflicts people and then God through Christ heals them. God is a good God.

What is contained in the salvation package are your birth rights and inheritance in Christ Jesus. It’s your right in Christ to be healthy, prosperous, free from pain and happy in Christ. Salvation in the Greek rendering is Sozo meaning healing, prosperity, deliverance and preserving. This is what we became when we become born again you were healed, prospered, delivered etc.

All these benefits have accrued to us freely through Christ, you have inherently received, deliverance, healing, forgiveness, and spiritual prosperity as long as you’re in Christ.

For you to see all these benefits in your life you will have to do the following.

1. Believe that those things have been granted to you now, that they are yours and start seeing them in you. Those benefits will become a reality in your life.

2. Release your faith through confession and proclaim what you need to see in your life every day and then act what you’re talking about for example if you declare ‘Am the healed in Christ, am delivered and blessed,’ you have to get out of that sick bed and go for work and then you stop telling everybody how you are sick. That means no more crying for help because healing has come to you by virtue of your declaration of the word of God.
