The Fellowship of the Spirit.

The Fellowship of the Spirit.

2Corinthians 13: 14 ‘The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you.’

As Christians we have been invited to fellowship with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit (1 John 1: 1-3).

The Greek word for Fellowship is Koinonia, which implies a partnership, communion, sharing together and distribution. God has invited us to partner with him in the saving work of salvation, he has also made us part of his family, so that we are able to share with him and for that reason he has made us partakers of the inheritance of saints. God has a family in heaven and we are part of his family in earth.

Our fellowship with God is enabled by the Holy Spirit, who acts as the intermediary between us with the Godhead to enable us commune with each other. We were invited into the fellowship with God and his son by God himself as described in

1Corinthians 1:9 ‘God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.’
We are able to keep in the fellowship of the Spirit when we walk in the Light (1 John 1: 7).

To walk in the light is to walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit, continue in the faith and do right always as the children of light.

Now the Grace is of Jesus Christ, for he is Grace and truth, the love is of God for he loved us and gave his son for us, and the fellowship is of the Spirit, for he enables us to fellowship with God and so we say the Prayer in 2Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you.
Be blessed
